Doula Support

As your doula I aim to support you and your partner in having the birth experience you desire to have. I will support your decisions and goals and do what I can to remind you of these choices as you labor. If at any time your birth plans need to change I will continue to support these new decisions that you have made. I encourage your partner to be an active participant during your labor by showing them hands on techniques and giving verbal encouragement. When you have a doula present your partner is better able to meet their own personal needs because they know that you are in good hands while they do so. Together we all work as a team to give you the best possible experience that you will want to remember forever.

Support during pregnancy includes:

  • A complimentary consult
  • 1 prenatal visit in your home to discuss your birth and postpartum plans
  • Supporting Arms workbook
  • Phone, text and email support
  • On-call service begins at 38 weeks

Once labor begins:

  • Phone and text support during early labor
  • Face to face and hands on support throughout active labor until your baby arrives
  • Partner support and encouragement

After baby arrives:

  • 1-2 hours immediate postpartum support
  • Help with breastfeeding if desired
  • 1 postpartum visit in your home to discuss the birth and provide any feeding support and other resources
  • Phone, text and email support for the first few weeks

As your doula I promise to give you and your partner the space you need to work together, to make sure you are aware of all that is happening, and to give you the encouragement you need when things get tough. I am respectful of the care provider you have chosen and will always encourage you to be in good communication with them about any concerns that may arise. I will be by your side when you need me to be or quietly in the background holding space as you and your partner work together to meet your baby.

Investment ~$800

Childbirth education classes are highly encouraged for all of my doula clients. While they are not required, a class can help you to be prepared for a variety of ways your birth may unfold. Knowledge is power and when you don’t know your options you don’t have options. If you want to have an empowering birth experience then you need to prepare for one. Doula clients will receive a special rate on classes that are offered. Placenta encapsulation services are also offered at a special rate as well.
